Fujifilm X-E1 Camera

This year I was in the market for a new camera, so I headed to my favorite camera shop here in NYC looking to find a camera that produced clear high-quality shots, was light, and was durable. After a long discussion with a sales representative, I was informed that the X-E1 was a great choice because it is mirror-less and it is right between a consumer DSLR and a professional DSLR, with an excellent price point. Ever since purchasing the camera in the spring, I am in love with it, and I feel that it is one of the best investments I have ever made.

Cost: $700 + (including lens)

Lin Yutang once said, “No one realizes how beautiful it is to travel until he comes home and rests his head on his old, familiar pillow.”

A beautiful pillow that you might love resting your head upon this season is a lovely travel-themed pillow by the company Airportag. Not only do they have pillows with throw pillows with quotes on them, but they also specialize in making pillows with airport codes.

Cost: $25

You can see the full collection of their travel pillows and purchase them here

The good folks over at Airportag were generous enough to donate a Travel Throw Pillow (pictured above) to a reader of Cultural Xplorer.

Great Christmas gift list!! We have a GoPro Hero3 black edition, would love to get the new one. Simply LOVE the Eagle Creek packing cubes! Can`t travel without them. Makes packing and organization of my backpack so much easier. We are traveling around in Indonesia, and everyone has the selfie stick for their mobile! A big hit here in Asia.

Yes, the sticks are huge in Asia, that’s where I first heard about them! I would love to get my hands on a GoPro myself! 😀

Nice list you have there. The packing cubes are definitely on my list along with a Go Pro (but I suspect they are too expensive for any buyer). I see Sony are trying to aggressively compete with a fantastic camera too.

    • Chanel Dec 9, 2014 at 10:57 am - Reply

Thanks! I haven’t heard about the Sony camera yet, I will have to check it out 😀

Yes, same here – the GoPro is definitely an investment! 😀

Aren’t they great?! The watch is definitely my favorite accessory 😀
